First Parish in Lexington is a friendly and welcoming midsized Unitarian Universalist congregation, currently with 73 children and youth registered in RG&L. Our adult membership is 273, with an average adult attendance on Sunday morning of 135. We are living into our mission to be known in the world for our love, seeking and service. • is responsible for a broad variety of functions for the smooth operation of the
church program and building with minimal guidance by Parish Minister.

First Parish in Canton seeks a dynamic Director of Religious Education (DRE). This 20 hr. /week position is an exciting opportunity for an individual to develop, oversee and implement religious education and youth programs for grades pre-K through 12 in collaboration with our minister and religious education committee.

Are you looking for a place to call home? The Unitarian Universalist Society of Amherst, MA is looking for a Director of Religious Education to fill a 20-hour per week position.

Position Summary: To provide leadership (under the supervision of the minister and the immediate direction of the Religious Education Ministry) based in Unitarian Universalist principles and sources, providing programing designed to explore Unitarian Universalism and other religions, social justice and compassionate community, including programs designed to nurture individual spiritual and intellectual growth. This is a leadership and an administrative position. The DRE will also provide leadership and teaching for the Youth Group and its activities. The position will cover the Society calendar year (41 weeks) and also includes 40 hours of summer work.

Qualifications: Must have experience or degree in field related to education or human services, ability to teach to people of various ages, have an understanding of UU principles, comfort with a wide variety of religious views, and knowledge of UU RE or a willingness to learn. Membership and Communications Coordinator

Seeking a Membership and Communications Coordinator to provide dynamic leadership, oversight and support to the processes of welcome, integration, communication, and connection of newcomers, friends and members.  30 hours per week for 10 months each year, from September through June: five hours on Sunday morning, and an additional 25 hours during the week on a flexible schedule.  

The Essential Functions of this position are the following:

  • Welcome all members, friends, newcomers and families to North Parish
  • Connect individuals to one another, to parish groups, and ministry opportunities
  • Identify motivated individuals and groups, help them identify gifts they can offer in the congregational context, and offer support to them so they can serve
  • Communicate stories and information about individuals, ministries and opportunities at North Parish both internally and externally, with a focus on celebration and gratitude
  • Maintain and update the church’s social media, including the North Parish website and Facebook page. 
  • Produce monthly newsletter and oversee other internal communications.

The Gloucester Unitarian Universalist Church, the first Universalist church in America, seeks a 1/4 time experienced and talented Music Director (Organist and Choir Director) with excellent leadership and interpersonal skills especially in choir conducting and interacting with clergy and congregation members.

The church seeks a professional who enjoys performing all genres of fine quality music suitable for a spiritually diverse worship experience. Ability to perform inspiring and appropriate repertoire on the Hutchings-Fisk pipe, mechanical key-action organ (II manuals, 23 stops) is a prerequisite. Strong hymn leading ability, keyboard skills on the piano, choral-conducting acumen, and ability to work with diverse musical ensembles are also necessary. 


  • Services: One Sunday morning service at 10 AM
  • Choir: adult choir of 16 to 20 members
  • Rehearsals:
    • 7 until 8:30 PM on Wednesday evenings
    • 9 to 9:45 AM on Sunday mornings

Sunday Morning Childcare Provider

  1. Must be available on Sunday mornings, 10:00 a.m.- 1:00 p.m.
  2. Provide a friendly, welcoming and supportive presence to adults when they arrive and depart with children.
    • Warmly welcome adults and children as they arrive making introductions as necessary.
    • Have adults of new children fill out a visitor form.
    • Discuss food allergies if any and verify that children may have the snack planned for the morning or find out what the child may have.

Director of Youth Ministries

The Winchester Unitarian Society has a rich tradition of youth ministry through acceptance, respect, and service to others. We are seeking an individual to lead our youth group of more than 30 high-schoolers with energy, inspiration, creativity, fun, flexibility and compassion. This 25 hours/week position involves curriculum development, leading weekly high school youth meetings, planning and leading service trips, pastoral care to youth and their families, supervision of a youth program assistant, and coordination of integrated programming with the wider congregation.
